Happy Pi Day! (For those who don’t know, Pi Day is celebrated every March 14, in honor of the mathematical symbol π. This symbol represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, and is approximated to 3.14.

To celebrate, we at Ropella had a number of Pi Day festivities, including a 5K race (approximately 3.14 miles) with awards given for 3rd, 1st and 4th place.  (And a tiny consolation prize for second.)

We also had a pie baking contest, and rounded out the day with a bit of ultimate frisbee.
